A Test #2

So what can we do about it? Well… it is quite obvious! STOP USING PLASTIC!

That being said, it’s probably not as simple as that. I honestly don’t expect you to completely eliminate plastic use in your life… soooo many of the products we use are either made from plastic or are packaged in plastic. Completely eliminating the use of plastic, realistically would be impossible. So the best we can do for now is to limit how much plastic we use, and do our best to recycle the plastic we do use.

One great way to reduce plastic use is to “NOT” buy bottled water. Instead get an awesome water bottle that you simply refill. There are tons of water bottle styles out there… surely you could find one that appeals to you. Check out this fruit infusion water bottle “LINK”. I love water that is slightly infused with one of my favorite fruits. Here’s another cool one…”LINK” it’s collapsible!

If you buy bottled water because you want pure, healthy water, consider instead purchasing a good quality water purifier. There are several brands and styles out there. These ones are quite amazing… check out my review here”LINK”.

You can now stop using the little plastic bags you get at the grocery store. I know… it’s hard to not put the onions or fruit in the convenient plastic bags. Check out these biodegradable zip-lock bags…”LINK” You can put those onions or fruit into them. Bring your own bags! It’s easy… but yah… hard to remember. Check out these cloth bags… “LINK” They are very compact, fit in the door pocket of your car or even easily fits in a purse or backpack. They expand and hold a ton of grocery products.

Buy “biodegradable” plastic bags for your kitchen garbage cans. They come in all sizes! “LINK”

If you own a business that regularly ships items, try not to use plastic shipping materials… don’t use bubble rap and try not to use envelopes made of plastic. There are many other alternatives in the shipping world to plastic that are biodegradable. I do realize than some things need to be protected from wet weather… I get it. In those cases, I guess plastic is still necessary until something else is invented to replace it.
